Facilities aboard ships to accommodate your event
Over the past several years, new era ships have come with multiple function rooms and meeting facilities, and each generation of ships adds more and more. Cruise lines are responding to increased demand for meetings, conferences, conventions and workshops at sea. From a small board of directors meeting to a grand awards presentation on a rotating stage, purpose-built conference rooms and theaters are now a reality aboard most of the newer vessels. Some even offer video walls, interactive TV’s and appropriate space for small trade shows. Keep in mind, the larger ships with these facilities typically do longer itineraries and so three- and four-day cruises may be much more limited.
We can organize general sessions with multiple breakout rooms, gala awards receptions, formal banquets, sit-down dinners-on-deck with video screen presentations and live entertainment. Some ships are better equipped than others, but with the right ship and adequate planning, a lot can be done. Ship selection is the key – and we’re the know how to do it.
If you have a large group or want a totally private event, you may want to consider a full or partial ship charter. That gives you all the space on the ship throughout the duration of the cruise to use any way you want. For more information on ship chartering, click here.
